Project Management Officer (m|w|d) Early Clinical Projects with pharmaceutical expertise

Miltenyi Biomedicine is a newly established international biopharmaceutical company that develops innovative cell and gene therapies. We are focused on bringing cancer treatments and regenerative therapies to patients. Our initial focus is on difficult to treat hematological cancers using CAR-T technology whilst exploring treatments for solid tumors.  We are currently in discussion with the FDA, EMA and Japanese health authorities regarding initiating pivotal Phase II trials. We strongly believe that despite promising developments, there is significant room to improve on current cancer therapies.

Your role

  • In this newly created PMO (Project Management Office) position, you will support the coordination of various 'Early Clinical Projects' with the goal, among others, of bringing about decisions on which of these early project candidates we will bring to market. Thus, you will contribute significantly to our commitment of developing and delivering innovative therapies for a broad spectrum of diseases.
  • As a central interface between the different departments, you orchestrate a wide range of topics: You set up project plans, keep them up-to-date and keep an eye on time and budget compliance.
  • In addition to planning project resources you are responsible for preparing project status reports. You will gather relevant information from the interdisciplinary project team as well as from the corresponding project members. You will also provide support in the context of project controlling.
  • As an organizational talent, you coordinate project meetings and workshops. You will also be responsible for drawing up meeting minutes and keeping track of work packages aligned on.
  • You enjoy preparing presentations for various stakeholders, such as the project team or top management, and presenting the project status.

Your profile

  • You have successfully completed your Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, biotechnology or similar, or alternatively have completed training as a BTA/MTA or biology laboratory technician. You bring practical experience from the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with cell therapy products.
  • Ideally, you have gained initial experience in professional project management in a pharmaceutical or clinical product environment, e.g. in organizing and coordinating projects and monitoring milestones.
  • You are characterized by a structured and planned way of working as well as your strong organizational and decision-making skills. You are familiar with common project management methods, tools (MS Project) and procedures; certifications such as PRINCE 2, PMP, IPMA or others are an advantage.
  • You are used to interacting effectively with different stakeholders and management levels. Based on your excellent communication skills, mainly in English (German would be beneficial), you convince with your enthusiasm and commitment even in critical project phases.
  • In addition to your assertiveness and empathy, you impress with your goal and solution orientation.
